THAT'S MEDICARE.

Now imagine having all the benefits in Medicare Part A and B and adding prescription drug coverage, dental care, vision and hearing coverage, gym membership, OTC allowance and other benefits.

THAT'S MEDICARE ADVANTAGE.

Medicare Advantage also pays your Part A & B deductibles, as well as the 20% not covered by Medicare Part B. And on top of that, you can enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan with a $0 monthly premium.

That’s right, you pay ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

So, “What’s the catch?” you ask. Well, here's your answer.

Private insurance companies that offer Medicare Advantage plans, have a contract with the federal government, which pays them a set amount for each person who enrolls in a Medicare Advantage plan. This arrangement removes the risk from the government and places it on the insurance companies. The companies provide managed care to keep their costs down and are able to offer more benefits to their enrollees.

Imagine finally being eligible for an insurance plan, which you've been paying for, in the form of income taxes, for at least 10 years, and learning that it doesn't cover everything you expected it to cover.

Let's Talk Medicare.jpg

What Is Medicare?

Original Medicare is health insurance issued by the federal government. It consists of only two parts: Part A, hospital coverage and Part B, coverage for medical services. There are two other parts of Medicare which are not provided by the government: Part C, which is known as Medicare Advantage and Part D, prescription drug coverage. Both parts C & D are only offered by private insurance companies.  Medicare Advantage actually includes Parts A & B, and may also include Part D, as well as many other benefits, like vision and dental. Medicare Advantage plans offer the most comprehensive healthcare coverage with the greatest amount of savings.

Understanding Original Medicare

Medicare Advantage (MA) plans are offered by private insurance companies that have been approved by the federal government. They are required by law to cover everything that is covered by Original Medicare (Parts A & B). In addition, Medicare Advantage plans offer more coverage, extra benefits and a great deal of savings compared to Original Medicare. Many Medicare Advantage plans have $0 monthly premiums, $0 deductibles and $0

co-payments for most medical services and procedures; and, unlike Original Medicare, they also have out-of-pocket limits as low as $500.
